Full Day Rhodes Island Tour (Thursday)

Leaving the hotel at approximately 08:00, we drive down the East coast of Rhodes Island, past the villages of the east side and we Reach the beautiful famous village of Lindos. It has a really beautiful architecture. It has white-washed buildings and the historic Acropolis above the village that make the place really unique. In Lindos, you will have the chance to walk through the village, go shopping and also have the chance to walk with a ‘donkey taxi’ up to the acropolis of Lindos (optional). Protected as a UNESCO world heritage site, with some buildings as old as 1,000 years of age, Lindos is a jewel nestled next to an imposing rock outcrop, towering over the natural harbour and coves, where the Acropolis Ans Crusader fort is located. After 2 Hours we leave Lindos Town and we continue visiting seven springs where you will have the opportunity to see the natural beauty with the scent of pine on every breath, with wooden bridges and trickling streams with wild peacocks and ducks. By the entrance, a lake with turquoise waters is nestled in a pine-clad gorge. Adventure seekers may walk around the footpaths searching out the source of each of the seven springs, and pass through the tunnel that takes you from one side of the hill to the other side. The tunnel is dark and small with fresh running water on your feet. Leaving from 7 springs we arrive at Saint Nectarios Church OF Kryoneri, which is a beautiful church located on the way to Archipolis village. The characteristic beauty is the magnificent fountain at the central entrance with its multiple hydrants. Next to the church we will have the chance to have free time for lunch or coffee in a very nice Greek Taverna (Optional). After the coffee/lunch stop we continue driving through the forests of the island and proceed to visit the famous Valley of the Butterflies. This valley has become world famous not only because of its natural beauty and unspoilt natural setting, but mainly because it is a gathering point for a specific species of butterflies which fill up the valley during the hot summer months, coating the trees and rocks in a multitude of colour, creating a unique experience that is both very rare and beautiful. After our visit to the valley, we board the buses and within 10 minutes we arrive at the winery factory where you will have the chance to taste the Rodian wines and other local products. After a short stop at the winery, we drove back to the hotel.
